Remi Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 4, 2026
Remi ("the app") is an AI personal assistant for iOS built by the StateCore team. This policy explains what data Remi collects, how it is used, and the controls you have over it.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. We use this only to operate your account.
- Conversations. Your messages to Remi (text, voice, and photos you choose to share) are processed to generate replies and are stored so your conversation history and Remi's memory work.
- Voice recordings. Voice messages are transcribed to text to generate a reply. Recordings are processed for transcription and are not used for anything else.
- Memory. Remi derives a structured memory from your conversations (for example, goals, preferences, and reminders you asked for). This is the core feature of the product.
- Device tokens. If you enable notifications, we store an Apple push token so Remi can deliver reminders and check-ins.
- Purchase status. If you subscribe to Remi Plus, we receive subscription status from Apple. We never see your payment details.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show ads or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use your conversations to train our own or third-party foundation models.
Third-party AI services
Remi is an AI assistant: it cannot answer you without sending your conversation to an AI provider outside StateCore. We tell you this and ask for your permission inside the app — on the "Remi uses AI services" screen shown when you set Remi up, before anything is sent. You can re-read that disclosure at any time under Settings → AI & your data.
| Who receives it | What we send them | Why | How they may use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) | The messages you type, the voice recordings you send, the images and files you attach, the memories Remi has saved for you, and the name you gave Remi | To generate Remi's reply, transcribe your voice messages, and read your attachments | Only to return a result to us. OpenAI's API does not use this data to train its models. |
| Tavily | Only the specific search query | To answer questions that need current information from the web | Only to return search results to us. |
Both providers are bound by contract to process this data solely on our behalf, to protect it at the same standard described in this policy, and not to use it for their own model training or for advertising. We do not send your data to any other AI service.
Withdrawing consent. Signing out or deleting your account in Settings withdraws your permission, and Remi stops sending your data to these providers.
Other processing
- Push notifications. Delivered through Apple's push notification service.
- Hosting and storage. Our servers and encrypted storage are hosted on DigitalOcean.
- Billing. Subscription status comes from Apple's In-App Purchase system; we never receive your payment details.
All data is encrypted in transit.
Your controls
- Inspect memory. You can see everything Remi remembers about you, in the app, at any time.
- Forget. You can tell Remi to forget any individual memory, and it will also avoid re-deriving it.
- Delete your account. Deleting your account removes your conversations, memory, and account data from our systems.
Retention
Conversation and memory data is retained while your account is active so the product can work. When you delete a memory or your account, the corresponding data is removed from our production systems.
Children
Remi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and note the new effective date above.
